The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invites local and international travellers to experience Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025, a five-month celebration of contemporary art running from now until April 2026. The Biennale brings creative works from around the world to Phuket’s historic neighbourhoods, cultural landmarks, and scenic outdoor locations.

Now in its fourth edition, the Biennale highlights Thailand’s growing creative economy and strengthens Phuket’s position as a destination for arts and culture. This year’s theme, “Eternal Kalpa”, encourages visitors to reflect on time, change, and the connection between people and nature. The artworks explore how memories, communities, and the environment continue to shape Phuket as it looks to the future.

A total of 65 artists and collectives from 25 countries are participating. Their works are displayed across 19 venues in Mueang, Kathu, and Thalang districts, including the former Pearl Theatre, Phuket Contemporary Art Gallery, repurposed community buildings, and outdoor sites such as Saphan Hin and Promthep Cape. Each location has been transformed to offer a different perspective on Phuket’s culture and landscape.

Alongside the main exhibition, visitors can explore 13 “Sala” created by artist groups and organisations from Thailand and abroad. Spread across the island, these Sala present additional artworks, workshops, and community activities. Each space offers its own interpretation of Phuket’s stories, traditions, and natural surroundings.

Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025 aims to make contemporary art more accessible to the public while supporting Phuket’s development as a sustainable, creative city. The event encourages visitors to discover the island through art, engaging with its architecture, heritage, and people in a fresh and meaningful way.

A series of collateral activities will take place until April 2026, including talks, guided programmes, and community-led events. These activities are designed to help visitors and residents enjoy the Biennale more deeply and understand the inspirations behind the artworks.

With installations set in both urban and coastal areas, Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025 offers a unique way to explore the island, inviting travellers to experience art in unexpected and memorable settings. The event strengthens Phuket’s international profile and supports Thailand’s appeal as a destination for cultural and creative experiences.
